The employee has the ability to purchase at their expense.
SICK LEAVE - Prorated
Accumulation of one day per month. At retirement ability to convert sick balance up to 120 days into a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA).
PAID PARENTAL AND CAREGIVER LEAVE
City of Sun Prairie employees who meet the eligibility criteria and have a qualifying event, shall receive up to 240 hours (prorated for less than 1.0 FTE) of Paid Parental Leave once per year and up to 80 hours (prorated for less than 1.0 FTE).
RETIREMENT
Wisconsin Retirement System which requires a matching 6.95% employee contribution.
Note: Must be scheduled to work at least 1200 hours per year to be eligible to enroll.

- Performs circulation desk procedures, such as checking in and checking out materials, registering patrons and collecting files.
- Receives, processes and ships outer-library loan materials
- Processes daily hold queue.
- Tracks overdue and lost items.
- With technical services, tracks, and reports damages to library items.
- Assists patrons with the operation of library equipment and troubleshoots equipment issues as needed.
- Electronically tracks and processes fines, lost items, recycling stickers, and other items.
- Orders circulation supplies as needed.
- Prepares, updates, and maintains patron cards and account information.
- Maintains the confidentiality of library records.
- Performs other duties as required.
High school diploma or GED plus one additional year of relevant education or training; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, ability and skills:

- Requires knowledge and ability to sort efficiently in alphabetic or numeric order.
- Requires working knowledge of English grammar and spelling.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with desktop computer hardware and software including web browsers, email, office software, and handheld scanners.
- Ability to understand and perform routine library procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and public.
- Ability to operate library equipment properly. Some previous library work experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and public in person and on the telephone.
- General office experience with computer, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, printers, and cash registers.
