Key Responsibilities

• Oversee $1.5–$2M in account revenue as the most senior, strategic client counselor
• Consistently develop coherent strategies for clients and projects
• Act as a trusted counselor and advisor to top executives at leading technology companies
• Own and drive a cornerstone in the agency focused on excellent careers, superb client service, strong financials, and improved operations
• Generate business revenue within existing clients by offering strategic recommendations to expand scope or introduce new services
• Identify and lead pitches to win new clients with growth goals linked to compensation
• Collaborate with integrated teams to provide seamless multi-channel solutions across traditional PR, digital, and social media
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement with a commitment to quality
• Mentor and develop staff with a supportive, collaborative approach
• Monitor staff performance, set objectives, and conduct annual performance reviews
• Represent Highwire and client organizations at industry events to maintain professional development and build networks
• Manage profitability while monitoring staff billability, client needs, and resource load
• Maintain account group revenue by managing accounts and budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in communications (in-house or agency) with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven ability to build relationships with top reporters and editors and secure high-impact media placements
• Extensive external writing and editing experience across print and online media
• Experience with social media influencer engagement, content campaigns, and media coverage amplification
• Experience leading a comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing program
• Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategy into action
• Experience building, managing, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications professionals
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and anticipate future needs
• Experience designing and measuring ROI of communications programs
