Required Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
MFA, BFA, BA, or commensurate experience;
- Evidence of active participation in exhibitions at the national or international level;
- Teaching and/or mentorship of students at any level.
- Being present for the duration of the residency (Jan 15 - May 15);
- Making artwork in the Windgate Center of Art + Design M-F (daily);
- Maintaining open studio hours (weekly);
- Giving a public artist's talk (one time);
- Critiquing students;
- Participating as a guest artist in relevant classes (1-2 times): examples include giving a talk, participating in critiques, or leading an in-class activity;
- Attending welcome and farewell receptions;
- Providing a work to the UA Little Rock Art Collection;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of artistic processes and media;
- Knowledge of studio safety procedures;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to teach;
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate;
- Willingness to engage in collaboration with faculty as a guest artist in their classes;
- Willingness to engage with students and the broader community.
