* MFA, BFA, BA, or commensurate experience;* Evidence of active participation in exhibitions at the national or international level;* Teaching and/or mentorship of students at any level.* Being present for the duration of the residency (Jan 15 - May 15);* Making artwork in the Windgate Center of Art + Design M-F (daily);* Maintaining open studio hours (weekly);* Giving a public artist’s talk (one time);* Critiquing students;* Participating as a guest artist in relevant classes (1-2 times): examples include giving a talk, participating in critiques, or leading an in-class activity;* Attending welcome and farewell receptions;* Providing a work to the UA Little Rock Art Collection;* Other duties as assigned.* Knowledge of artistic processes and media;* Knowledge of studio safety procedures;* Strong interpersonal skills;* Ability to teach;* Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate;* Willingness to engage in collaboration with faculty as a guest artist in their classes;* Willingness to engage with students and the broader community.The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is committed to providing a safe campus community.
