Job Location : Altamonte Springs, FL

The role you will contribute:

The Innovation Catalyst (IC) participates in the design of innovation labs, facilitates labs and motivational exercises and ensures projects track through the various Design Thinking stages. The IC leads projects as assigned by the Design Center Manager. The IC will participate in building a creative, open and productive culture at the AHS Design Center and will work closely with other members of the team to ensure successful projects are completed.

  • Collects data and reports on innovation labs to leadership as requested.
  • Develops prototypes and creative tools to support new product and service development.
  • Seeks out and participates in educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Works closely with consumer intel/market research, marketing, user experience, and other internal teams.
  • Incorporates strategic alliance and information technology teams into the co-creation process.
  • Adapts to new situations and changing priorities to accomplish department goals.
  • Contributes to building a creative, open, and productive culture at the Design Center.
  • Leads projects through the various Design Thinking stages to ensure successful completion.
  • Provides tours and overviews of the Design Center to visitors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with various teams to ensure the voice of the customer influences solutions.
  • Develops highly effective and engaging innovation labs in collaboration with the Design Center Manager.
  • Facilitates motivational and educational exercises to inspire creativity and learning.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ Work Experience
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to develop highly visual and engaging presentations. Ability to sketch, develop information graphics, use of photography, video, and highly polished visualizations.
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve desired results
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations; self-motivated and resourceful
  • Analytical, creative, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of design thinking/human centered design
  • Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed deadlines
  • Ability to work well with cross functional teams
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Theory U (work by C. Otto Scharmer)
  • Knowledge of healthcare administration
  • Skilled in the arts (acting, music, poetry)
  • Skilled in improvisation
  • General Business knowledge
