PRN Caregiver Position Summary

As a PRN Caregiver, you will provide essential care and support to patients, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with Daily Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily tasks.
2. Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
3. Patient Well-being: Monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
4. Mobility Assistance: Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
5. Meal Assistance: Assist with meals and meet patients’ nutritional needs.
6. Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
7. Infection Control: Follow proper infection control procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
8. Documentation: Accurately document patient information in medical records.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with the nursing team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Knowledge of senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, and memory care.
3. Strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.
