JOB TYPE:

GENERAL JOB STATEMENT:

Stitches and finishes all assigned costumes while maintaining the vision of the costume designer within necessary time constraints.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sews assigned costumes by hand or machine.
2. Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
3. Assists in fitting, stitching, or other assigned costume duties.
4. Maintains and alters costumes as assigned.
5. Performs any other tasks as requested by the Costume Shop Manager or the Production Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Demonstrated experience in machine and hand sewing techniques.
• Proficiency in commercial and industrial sewing machine operation.
• Excellent garment construction skills.
• Able to follow precise directions in a timely manner.
