The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) in the School of Applied Sciences at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in August 2026. We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: child or adolescent language, literacy, developmental disabilities, speech sound disorders, phonology, or complex communication; other areas are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain a line of research that contributes to scientific advancement in an area related to the candidate's expertise.
- Actively pursue external funding for research.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, and/or blended).
- Direct student research and engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Earned doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in communication sciences and disorders or a closely related field by the appointment start date.
- Certificate: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Licensure: Eligibility for Mississippi state licensure.
