Who We Seek
Hispanic Federation is seeking an Online Community Manager to lead the growth and daily operations of our online learning and community engagement platform. This is a strategic and community-centered role ideal for someone with experience in online learning environments, online community management, and nonprofit capacity building. The Online Community Manager will sit within HF’s Capacity Building team and collaborate across departments to create a vibrant, digital space for nonprofit professionals to learn, connect, and grow. The manager will work closely with HF grantee partners, training facilitators, and subject matter experts to ensure our community fosters peer learning, resource sharing, and skills development.
This position is hybrid and will require onsite presence either in the office or on the field with a minimum of 10 days onsite.

Reports to: Senior Director for Capacity Building
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead administrator for HF’s community engagement platform (e.g., Circle.so or similar), overseeing day-to-day operations and user experience.
- Build and implement a community content roadmap, including workshops, resource libraries, discussion prompts, and spotlight features.
- Design and manage online engagement strategies to deepen participation, encourage peer-to-peer support, and showcase community voices.
- Collaborate with the capacity building team to align community activities with HF’s technical assistance, grantmaking, and professional development initiatives.
- Moderate the platform to ensure an inclusive, respectful, and productive environment.
- Identify recurring themes, needs, and feedback from community users to inform programmatic improvements and resource development.
- Plan and host virtual meetups, webinars, office hours, and occasional in-person gatherings to foster deeper connection and learning.
- Track and report on key engagement metrics, user activity, and learning outcomes.
- Support the planning and facilitation of structured learning cohorts or thematic working groups within the community.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in online education, nonprofit capacity building, community management, or ed-tech environments.
- Strong understanding of Latino-led and Latino-serving nonprofit organizations, especially small to mid-size community-based groups.
- Proven ability to manage digital platforms, drive user engagement, and produce community-centered content.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for plain language and cultural relevance.
- Ability to speak and write in Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Data-informed and user-centered approach to program design and decision-making.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of Latino and social justice issues and a commitment to Hispanic Federation's mission and core values.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 and is commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance available as of the first day of employment; 403(B) retirement plan with a company match after 6 months of service; access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.
Full-time employees enjoy 15 vacation days and have access to 8 sick days and 4 personal days.
