Responsibilities

• Design and implement modern, responsive WordPress themes that enhance the user journey.
• Lead creation of wireframes, mockups, multimedia assets, and page templates.
• Ensure consistency with ABMC branding and the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
• Conduct three-round review cycles (HD design, wireframes, content format).
• Improve navigation, mobile usability, and content readability.
• Perform UX audits during assessments and post-implementation testing.
• Support multilingual, accessibility-compliant designs (WCAG 2.1, Section 508).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years in digital UX/UI roles, ideally supporting federal or public-sector platforms.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and WordPress theme architecture.
• Strong portfolio of responsive, accessible designs.
• Familiarity with mobile optimization, SEO design patterns, and accessibility testing tools.

Certifications

• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) - for UX standards and usability testing
• Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) - for design tool proficiency (Photoshop, XD, Illustrator)
• IAAP CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) - to support WCAG 2.1/Section 508 compliance
