Scope/Description of Services

Perform web development work as a member of Information Technology (IT) Scheduled Releases team. Develop Java full stack with emphasis on front end implementation. Responsible for activities during all phases of the System Development Life Cycle including analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving software, data, hardware and reporting problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develops and tests Web Applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications and creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in EAP 8, Java OpenJDK 1.8 or above, Spring batch 2.1.8, iText-2.1.5, Squirrel SQL Client.
• Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x (RHEL), Red Hat CodeReady Studio 12.21.3.GA.
• Proficient at migrating web content to RHEL 8 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8).
• Proficient in web development.
• Collaboration; ability to work effectively with web admin, Unix admin, and IT teams.
• Content Migration; skilled in migrating web content from legacy servers to current web servers.
• Environment Management; experience managing and migrating environments to RHEL 8.
• PHP Development; expertise in server-side development using PHP.
• Proficient with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
• Experience in DB2 Database.
• Knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP, secure coding) preventing common vulnerabilities like SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF, WAF (Web Application Firewall).
• Experience with Government Regulations/Compliance.
• Experience Working with Style Guides and Standards – Web Admins can help adjust to TWC standards.
• Experience using GitHub repository or other.
• Experience in Visual Code Studio or similar.

Notes

Note: Expected Start Date 09/22/2025 and End Date 08/31/2026. Position may be renewed up to 4 years. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.

Must have a secure, dedicated workspace with Internet service, ability to maintain a reliable, consistent work schedule, and be available for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours.

Position may require team members to come into the office; there may be unscheduled requests with seventy-two (72) hour notice for any TWC business need.
