Overview
Solicitation Number: 5404926WD2. Direct Client: Texas Workforce Commission. Working Title: Web Developer 2. Work Location: Austin, TX - Telework.
Responsibilities
- Perform web development work as a member of Information Technology (IT) Scheduled Releases team.
- Develop Java full stack with emphasis on front end implementation.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve software, data, hardware and reporting problems and troubleshoot system issues for internal and external clients.
- Develop and test Web Applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and usability requirements.
- Document current processes, review written specification additions/modifications and create test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies.
- Analyze, design, and develop logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented and maintainable.
- Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and management goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates that do not meet the minimum stated requirements will not be considered.
- Experience in Java OpenJDK 1.8 or above; Spring Batch 2.1.8; iText-2.1.5; Squirrel SQL Client.
- Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x/7.x (RHEL) and Red Hat CodeReady Studio.
- Proficient at migrating web content to RHEL 8.
- Proficient in web development; collaboration with web admins, Unix admins, and IT teams.
- Content migration; skilled in migrating web content from legacy servers to current servers.
- Environment management; experience migrating environments to RHEL 8.
- PHP development; server-side development using PHP; proficient with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
- Experience in DB2 Database; knowledge of web security best practices (OWASP, secure coding) preventing vulnerabilities like SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF; familiarity with Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Experience with Government Regulations/Compliance; experience working with style guides and standards Web Admins can use to align with TWC standards.
Preferred
- Experience using GitHub repository or other.
- Experience in Visual Studio Code or similar.
