Bridges Consumer Health Care markets and distributes over the counter (OTC) and personal care products across a variety of channels including food, drug, and mass retailers, as well as select e-commerce platforms.

Overview of Position:

The Sr. Graphic Designer will work directly with the Creative Director and marketing department on all aspects of design and production for the Bridges portfolio of brands. They will use their extensive design experience and skills in the creation and management of assets across multiple mediums, including packaging, digital marketing, print media, event materials, and social media content. In this senior-level role, they will be expected to evaluate and execute creative briefs independently, demonstrating strategic creativity, as well as leadership, initiative, organization, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail Packaging and Display Design: Develop and execute innovative packaging and display designs that are both functional and visually appealing. Ensure all designs meet production requirements and brand guidelines. Develop new dielines as needed and prepare files for press.
  • Print Media: Design and execute print media including ads for trade publications, print-ready instructional PDFs, catalogs, postcards, and corporate collateral.
  • Digital Assets: Create eye-catching digital assets for website PDPs, email campaigns, online ads, and other digital platforms. Ensure all digital content is optimized for various devices and aligns with the company's brand identity.
  • Event Materials: Design all necessary materials for events, including banners, booth designs, brochures, and promotional items. Collaborate with the events team to ensure all designs effectively communicate the event's message and branding.
  • Social Media Content: Produce engaging social media graphics that support marketing campaigns and increase brand visibility. Stay up to date with social media trends and adapt designs accordingly.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all designs adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to a cohesive brand image across all touchpoints.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members as well as outside contractors, including designers, copywriters, photographers, videographers, and marketers to develop and refine design concepts.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality utilizing company-defined project management and creative workflow software.
  • Production: Prepare final files for mechanicals based on production/printer/publication specifications with the Adobe Suite, as well as other programs. Produce mockups in-house or by using local printers.
  • Process Improvement: Identify work process improvements and provide clear recommendations.
Required skills:
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Mac OS. Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). After Effects and Premiere Pro skills are a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio that demonstrates a range of design skills across different mediums, including packaging, digital, and print. Video examples a plus.
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.
  • Design & Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of color, layout, and typography including font styling, kerning, and leading. Proactive, solution-oriented thinker with a high level of accuracy.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts and collaborate with team members and outside contractors. Able to give and receive constructive criticism in a professional manner.
  • Time and Project Management: Able to prioritize workload and manage time efficiently and independently. Able to adapt easily to shifting priorities/timelines and meet deadlines. Able to learn and navigate complex processes and tools.
  • Leadership: Sets an example by being proactive in keeping skills up to date and driving self-improvement. Able to lead projects and mentor other designers and/or contractors.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or similar-or equivalent work experience.

Professional Experience: 5-7 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in an in-house creative department or agency

Role Specific Competencies: Hands-on experience with graphic and logo design, typography, color, digital design, print production, image selection, and package design. Demonstrated experience using AI image generation. Experience with Project Management, DAM, CMS, or Creative Workflow software a plus

Special Requirements: Preference is given to qualified candidates based near Chattanooga, Tennessee, which is where our corporate office is located. Qualified candidates from other locations will also be considered. Relocation may be offered.
