ConnectPlus is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Virginia in the United States, founded in March 2020 by a group of high school and college students. We seek to make high-quality English education easily accessible to all. Since 2020, ConnectPlus has recruited 500+ tutors worldwide and taught 600+ students across China, logging 10,000+ hours of English instruction.
HSE is ConnectPlus' English-tutoring branch. HSE provides verification of volunteer hours, volunteer certificates, and recommendations. Volunteering experiences with HSE can also be submitted as part of resumes for college and job applications.
ConnectPlus Social Media Manager
Working Languages: English, Chinese
Weekly Commitment: 3 hrs
Work style: Asynchronous, entirely online
ConnectPlus is seeking highly motivated individuals to join the organization’s leadership team as Social Media Intern. This individual will be responsible for creating one post a week for ConnectPlus’ social media outlets (Instagram and Red mainly), as well as posting an additional post and proactively growing the organization’s following on those outlets.
Responsibilities
Administer ConnectPlus’s social media accounts, primarily on Instagram and Red (Chinese Instagram)
Create one original post every week in both English and Chinese
Post another post created by ConnectPlus’s graphic design department every week
Respond to comments and follow requests
Actively grow the following of ConnectPlus’s accounts
Qualifications
At least in high school
Willing to work asynchronously via email and various messaging platforms and respond to communications ASAP
Microsoft Office and Google Drive proficiency
Advanced fluency (reading and writing) in English and Mandarin Chinese
