Seeking qualified Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students within a dynamic school setting in Santa Cruz, CA. This contract position extends for the full school year (NSY), offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational development of visually impaired learners.

Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction and curriculum modifications for students with visual impairments. Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide assessments and use assistive technologies to enhance student learning and independence. Facilitate orientation and mobility training to improve students access to educational environments. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Desired Qualifications: Certification or licensure to teach visually impaired students. Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments. Strong knowledge of assistive technology and teaching methodologies specific to visual impairment. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
