A full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to support K-12 students across seven schools within the district. This position offers an itinerant role, providing specialized instruction and services directly onsite.

Job Type: Full-time, Contract for the 2025-2026 School Year Work Setting: Onsite only, itinerant across seven schools Responsibilities include: Delivering tailored educational support and vision-related instruction to students with visual impairments Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assessing and monitoring student progress, adapting teaching strategies to individual needs Providing orientation and mobility training as necessary Ensuring accessibility of learning materials and environments Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education services Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or eligibility to obtain certification Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technologies, and adaptive techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage itinerant caseload efficiently across multiple school sites This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact the educational experience of students with unique needs in a supportive setting.
