Marketing Strategist - State National

Role overview: The Marketing Strategist will develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that support the goals of Program Services, Sales, Client Service, and Innovation/Strategy. They will collaborate with these departments to support Marketing Objective & Key Results (OKRs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and track performance to measure the success of initiatives. This role also serves as a liaison between Marketing and the involved departments to ensure effective communication and coordinated campaign execution.

Responsibilities
  • Create marketing campaigns for assigned departments and divisions, including lead generation, retention, attrition campaigns, and coordination of partnership marketing deliverables
  • Manage projects from creation to execution; develop innovative marketing collateral ideas and concepts
  • Collaborate with Marketing to leverage omnichannel tools to generate leads for sales
  • Identify new marketing tools and strategies to generate awareness and brand exposure
  • Monitor marketing campaign effectiveness and create measurement scorecards
  • Contribute to strategic solutions and provide tactical execution ideas
  • Prepare Sales Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Execute on assigned Marketing OKRs and KPIs to support department goals
  • Research and recommend industry events, placement and sponsorship opportunities
  • Collaborate with Content Marketing Specialist to define and track event data metrics
  • Create event lead generation strategies
  • Establish lead engagement tracking, monitoring processes and reporting
  • Monitor marketing finance/banking trends and competitor strategies
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams to develop key messages and content for assets and client communications
  • Build emails and update websites as needed, coordinating with the Digital Specialist
  • Manage marketing budget when applicable
Qualifications
  • Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player with cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Solid understanding of Marketing technology stack (CRM and related systems)
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to interpret OKRs and KPIs and adjust projects accordingly
  • Knowledge of design principles/programs (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva) is a plus
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3+ years marketing experience; insurance experience a plus; Masters degree a plus
  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience tracking/using marketing analytics
  • Vendor management experience preferred
Work Conditions
  • Office environment; standing and sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
