Job Description
We're looking for a UX Content Strategist to join our Experience Design team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the voice, tone, and content strategy for our products, ensuring that every user interaction is clear, helpful, and engaging. You'll collaborate closely with designers, researchers, marketers and engineers throughout the entire product development lifecycle. You'll translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive language, helping to define our brand's personality and build trust with our users.
Duties and Responsibilities Description Approximate % of Time Associated with Each Duty (total of all duties =100%)
Develop and implement content strategies for new and existing products - 20% Write and edit clear, concise, and compelling copy for user interfaces, including buttons, labels, error messages, and onboarding flows - 20% Conduct content audits and competitor analyses to identify opportunities for improvement - 20% Collaborate with UX researchers to test content and gather user feedback - 20% Work with our design system team to define and maintain content guidelines, including voice and tone principles - 15% Educate stakeholders on the value of UX writing and content strategy - 5%
This role sits within the experience design team and will support a range of internal and externally facing digital experiences (ex. websites, campaigns, UX research collateral, etc.)
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree Main Accountabilities & Required Qualifications
You have a portfolio demonstrating your experience in UX writing, content strategy, or a related field. You're an expert in simplifying complex topics and have a knack for turning jargon into plain language. You understand the user-centered design process and can articulate the rationale behind your content decisions. You have strong communication and collaboration skills. You're a self-starter who's comfortable with ambiguity and can proactively identify content needs. You're passionate about creating great user experiences and have an appreciation for both the big picture and the smallest details.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with defining standards and contributing to a design system. Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
Working conditions:
Hybrid work environment: Mandatory on-campus attendance policy: Required to work on the South San Francisco Campus three days a week, with 2 of those days being Tuesday and Wednesday. Location: South San Francisco (required) Willingness and ability to travel, up to 15% (occasionally)
Pay Rate Range: $60-87/hr depending on experience
