In This Role, You Can Expect To
We build the Infrastructure Cloud which allows enterprises to take a unified approach to Infrastructure Lifecycle Management.
Your Role And Responsibilities We deliver the Infrastructure Cloud through an enterprise-grade unified SaaS platform. You will focus on user experience across Terraform and other infrastructure applications that Terraform integrates with, exploring workflows across web, command line, version control systems, and API. You will discover and specify strategic opportunities for improvement through generative research, inform product strategy, shape design vision, drive alignment across the team, and conduct evaluative research to recommend the best path forward.
In collaboration with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams, you will envision innovative workflows for provisioning and deploying infrastructure across multiple public and private clouds, improving the user experience measurably. You will craft usable, valuable, accessible, and delightful experiences for platform engineering teams, developers, and their organizations. You will guide, mentor, and collaborate with product designers to ensure alignment.
This role is specific to HCP Terraform and focuses on building the Infrastructure Cloud for a unified Infrastructure Lifecycle Management approach.
Responsibilities Conduct generative and evaluative research to understand the problem space and test designed solutions.
Coordinate brainstorms, ideation sessions, workshops, design sprints, and other activities to align on design direction.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering to set priorities, goals, and roadmaps, guiding product innovations from concept to release.
Partner with engineers on feasibility, responsiveness, and details of design specifications.
Partner with product managers to discover and align on market needs and business goals.
Work iteratively in an agile environment, adapting to user and stakeholder feedback to refine designs.
Determine and prioritize new features and enhancements critical to client and community success.
Collaborate with other designers, share work to inform the organization, and participate in design critique sessions.
Qualifications And Experience You are a passionate and curious designer who thrives in uncertainty and ambiguity.
You have established yourself as a professional Product Designer of enterprise software products.
You have experience building enterprise software for infrastructure, developer tooling, or developer experience.
You have experience turning complex technical workflows into simple user experiences.
You can clearly communicate and tell the story of your projects and design decisions.
You understand the importance of culture and building a fun, high-functioning team.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience You have familiarity with IBM HashiCorp products and services.
