Title: Director of Marketing

Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for creating, managing, leading, and executing the company's strategic marketing plan by creating and leading our marketing initiatives that drive growth in brand, market segments, and business. Additionally, this role would have leadership responsibilities in the qualification submission process and acting as the chief brand steward across the organization.

Key Functional / Technical Skills for Role Success:
  • Strategic Marketing Plan Development: Ability to build annual and long-term marketing plans aligned with business goals.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Design: Developing segment-specific strategies to enter or grow in niche construction markets.
  • Brand Management: Overseeing brand identity, consistency, reputation, and differentiation in the construction space.
  • Messaging & Value Proposition Development: Rafting compelling value propositions tailored to target construction customers.
  • Social Media Marketing: Managing LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and others for employer branding, project promotion, and engagement.
  • Website Strategy & UX Optimization: Ensuring the company website is optimized for lead generation, project showcases, and SEO.
  • Marketing Analytics & KPI Tracking: Using dashboards and data analysis to monitor lead quality, conversions, and marketing ROI.
  • Proposal & RFP Response Management: Coordinating pursuit strategies and producing polished SOQs, RFQs, and RFP submissions.
  • Construction-Focused Content Creation: Producing project case studies, whitepapers, blogs, videos, and testimonials to build credibility.
  • Event Planning, Groundbreaking, Ribbon Cutting, & Trade Show Execution: Managing company participation in expos, conferences, and networking events.
  • Community & Industry Involvement: Representing the firm at industry organizations (e.g., AGC, ABC) and community events.
  • Project Highlight & Win Strategy Coordination: Managing the library of project profiles, resume updates, and "win themes" to align marketing with project delivery.

Minimal Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing or business-related field
  • Marketing experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction Space
  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with responding to and managing RFQ/RFP in the private and public sectors
  • Experience managing and overseeing social media accounts
  • SMPS or CPSM Certifications
  • Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience developing and managing an annual marketing plan and supporting budget
