We\u2019re looking for someone who is Unity-native and fluent in UI Toolkit to take static 2D UI screens and transform them into fully juiced interfaces9adding motion, VFX, particles, and visual feedback that make every interaction feel satisfying and alive. You\u2019ll play a key role in shaping the tactile and expressive feel of the UI for a new mobile title at a venture backed gaming studio.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making UI feel tactile, dynamic, and rewarding to interact withed not just functional. You\u2019ll collaborate closely with designers and engineers while taking creative ownership over how the game\u2019s UI feels in motion.
What Youll Do
Transform static UI layouts into fully polished, animated, and reactive interfaces using Unity UI Toolkit (UXML + USS) Integrate 2D visual effects such as particles, shaders, and transitions to elevate player feedback and clarity Own the feel of screen-space UI interactions, from menus to in-game overlays, ensuring motion and polish enhance usability Use tweening systems, animation curves, or custom tooling to deliver responsive UI motion Optimize UI for performance on mobile devices while retaining a high standard of visual quality Collaborate with designers and engineers to bring polish to both existing screens and new features as they\u2019re developed What Were Looking For
3+ years of production experience with Unity and C# building or customizing interactive UI components Strong proficiency with Unity UI Toolkit (UXML/USS) 3ot just UGUI Proven experience shipping or owning 2D UI implementations in mobile or web-based games/apps Hands-on experience adding polish with animation systems, VFX, particles, or Shader Graph Strong sense of timing, motion, and screen-space feedback that improves player experience Familiarity with performance constraints and optimization on mobile platforms A portfolio or reel showcasing UI polish, game feel, or expressive screen-space VFX Bonus Points
Fluency with tweening tools like DOTween or LeanTween Background working in small, fast-moving teams or game startups Seniority level
