Overview
The Studio Advisor provides customer service support to studio members and guests and supports instructors to create a positive environment for our community. You will generate revenue by developing relationships with potential, new, and existing members to increase membership enrollment and package purchases.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the BODYROK Service Promise; maintain a clean, friendly, and well-maintained studio; follow basic team standards (on time, dress code).
- Assist members/guests in-person and via email with inquiries.
- Keep the studio clean and orderly (bathrooms, changing rooms, towels/laundry, trash).
- Initiate tasks and perform duties without direct supervision.
- Monitor incoming emails and ensure proper check-in procedures are followed.
- Tour potential members through the studio and connect guests to facilities, equipment, services, and amenities.
- Handle member service issues (address changes, billing questions, electronic funds setup or changes).
- Promote and sell merchandise and promotions; promote specials to current and future guests.
- Maintain front desk area and entryway; perform general cleaning duties as needed.
- Follow up with enrolled members to ensure expectations are exceeded.
Compensation
- Base hourly rate with potential to earn additional commission for each sale completed; unlimited earnings potential.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of MindBody software experience preferred.
- Open availability (OPEN/MID/CLOSING shifts) and ability to work at least 2 weekend days per month.
- Competitive drive for commission-based sales; excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of sales practices and techniques; independent, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills; strong written and verbal communication; organized and detail-oriented.
- Friendly, warm, compassionate, and welcoming personality; comfortable conversing with new people.
- Must be available to work at least 2 weekend days per month (e.g., 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday, 2 Saturdays, or 2 Sundays).
Requirements & Environment
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- The role may involve occasional physical activity; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work environment includes moving parts and a loud studio setting; must be comfortable interacting with people and making them feel welcome.
