Senior Manager, Relationship Marketing Strategy — Merkle We welcome remote U.S.-based candidates. You will join a team of marketers who focus on helping Merkle clients achieve their business goals. You will report to the VP, Relationship Marketing Strategy. You will understand our client’s business and strategic goals, become a trusted advisor to the client and Merkle account team, and excel in both analytic and creative thinking to help solve client problems. You will communicate strategy effectively and translate ideas into execution. To be successful, you should love solving client problems and understand how businesses, brands, and customers work together, with an advanced understanding of the evolving role of data and technology in this relationship. You will identify growth opportunities and develop recommendations to grow client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of strategic omni-channel marketing plans.

Be a subject matter expert and translate new technology—particularly 1st party data marketing and CRM—into new marketing ideas for the client.

Monitor current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies, and translate them into new marketing ideas for clients.

Develop trusted, long-term relationships with important client contacts and executives.

Ensure meaningful client value is delivered through best-practice solutions and original thinking.

Collaborate with team leadership (account management, operations, creative, analytics) and partner agencies to turn ideas into executable plans.

Identify data points and measurements to show the impact of our approach and strategy on the client’s business.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.

7+ years of experience in data-driven marketing – specifically CRM, email, online/offline media.

3+ years working in an agency or consulting firm.

Experience with Braze (advantageous).

Experience developing solutions to support the sale of new services to clients.

Hands-on skills using data and research to guide decisions – proficiency in Excel and research tools.

Experience translating data analysis into relevant marketing recommendations and presentations – proficiency in PowerPoint.

Comfort and experience working within a matrixed organization with a wide latitude.

Average 20% travel (as required by client we can accommodate).

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
