- Plan and oversee author tours and event appearances, including travel logistics, bookstore coordination, and local media outreach.
- Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and sales teams to ensure integrated campaigns that align with imprint goals and author brand positioning.
- Represent titles and campaigns in internal meetings and cross-functional team discussions.
- Manage budgets and campaign expenses, ensuring timely processing of invoices and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Track campaign performance and stay up to date on industry trends and evolving media landscapes.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in book publicity or a closely related field; preference for nonfiction and prescriptive titles in wellness, spirituality, lifestyle, parenting, or business.
- Demonstrated success leading media-forward, author-focused campaigns with national reach.
- A strong network of media contacts across platforms, with a proven ability to pitch effectively and creatively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; persuasive, strategic, and confident in pitching and presenting.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, authors, and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; collaborative team player and proactive self-starter.
- Experience coordinating author travel, events, and multi-city tours.
