The Job
Warner Bros. Worldwide Studio Tours and Retail develops and operates visitor attractions and experiential retail stores globally, focusing on visitor engagement and exceptional customer service. The division includes Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter (opened in 2023), and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. It also supports The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾, Harry Potter New York, and offers an online experience at Harrypottershop.com.
This position supports the Harry Potter Chicago store by maximizing customer and fan engagement in a best-in-class retail environment. The role primarily oversees the visual merchandise segments and leads a team of brand specialists to deliver an evolving guest experience. You will provide excellent service and address guest needs to enhance their shopping experience.
The Daily (Responsibilities)
- Assists the store manager with interviewing, on-boarding, and training employees.
- Evaluates, coaches, and counsels staff to meet expectations.
- Conducts staff meetings and attends required meetings.
- Creates staffing and zoning plans for all associates within the store.
- Serve as lead point of contact for the store for all employees.
- Conducts yearly reviews and quarterly performance evaluations.
- Works with the store manager on strategies, core focuses, and procedures.
- Performs corrective actions as needed and manages performance issues.
- Develops store succession plans with support from the store manager and peers.
- Conducts discovery conversations to resolve complex employee-related problems.
- Opens and/or closes the store, assigns cash drawers, and completes financials, audits, sales reports, and related paperwork.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures store safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensures team members have product knowledge and meet product standards.
- Creates visually appealing displays aligned with brand and safety standards.
- Escalates and manages facility and technical tickets for maintenance and repair.
- Drives profitability in designated areas and maintains store shrink within acceptable parameters.
- Adheres to cash handling policies and supports strategic KPIs.
- Uses customer insights to improve the customer experience strategy.
- Oversees inventory levels and supports profitability strategies within store segments.
- Promotes a positive guest experience and resolves guest-related issues in alignment with service standards.
- Collaborates with management on guest engagement and customer retention plans.
- Coordinates with internal partners on product placement for seasonal trends.
The Essentials (Qualifications)
- Minimum 2 years of premium or high-volume retail management experience.
- Strong understanding of business and financial concepts and ability to lead the team to drive results.
- Proven time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Clear and effective communication with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Open availability for a flexible schedule, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.

In compliance with local law, compensation information is disclosed where required. Base pay range: 35,360 – 51,376 per year. Actual salaries vary based on market data, location, skills, experience, and performance. Base pay is one component of total compensation, which may include bonuses and benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings, paid holidays, sick time, and vacation.
