As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will play a critical role in supporting security-related operations by monitoring and coordinating communications across the location. Your responsibilities will include responding promptly to incoming calls, dispatching resources as needed, and maintaining detailed records of incidents and activities. You will help to deter potential security-related incidents through proactive communication, situational awareness, and collaboration with onsite teams. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and are passionate about providing outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to incoming communications, including alarms and emergency calls, to coordinate appropriate security-related responses at the location.
Dispatch security personnel to incidents, events, or areas of concern based on established protocols and site-specific procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, incidents, and communications in accordance with company and client requirements.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related incidents and/or emergencies.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by addressing inquiries and assisting with access control or visitor management as directed.
Support Allied Universal management by following all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, prioritizing communication and coordination.
Utilize security-related technology, such as two-way radios, telephones, and computer systems, to support dispatch operations.
What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements
Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
