Associate Director, Marketing/Media Data Strategy role at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Location: Titusville, New Jersey or Horsham, PA. This position develops and leads data strategy to support HCP and DTC marketing use cases, shaping data quality and enabling impactful data-driven insights across J&J. Purpose: Serve as a strategic Business Owner and trusted partner who can act as a Data Quarterback, leading the development, management, and optimization of customer engagement and content data products. You Will Be Responsible For Marketing Data Source Acquisition & Quality: Own and drive the acquisition of marketing data sources across all brands, ensuring data quality and facilitating use cases that maximize value for J&J.

Product Ownership & Enhancement: Lead and enhance marketing data products related to HCP and consumers (e.g., “Customer Engagements,” “Content”) and drive adoption, improvements, and integration.

Strategic Collaboration with Brand Marketers, Advanced Analytics, and Media Excellence Teams: Collaborate with internal StAT teams and brand marketers to understand needs and roadmaps; define data strategy and measure data impact and ROI.

Third-Party Data Partnership & SME Coordination: Partner with the Media Excellence team to ensure timely, high-quality third-party marketing and campaign data acquisition, management, and deployment.

Business Process Support: Support omni-channel reporting, marketing mix modeling, and campaign analytics to drive data-driven decisions.

Innovation & New Data Sets: Explore emerging data sources (website data, publisher data, AI-driven insights) and assess value of new or enhanced data sets.

Data Automation & Ecosystem Integration: Accelerate speed to impact by connecting and automating data workflows across marketing platforms (C360, SFMC, Veeva, ODP, Adobe Workfront).

Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap to evolve the customer engagement and content data ecosystem, including new audiences and functionalities.

Data Governance & Quality: Promote and implement data governance policies; ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance; serve as primary business contact for data-related needs.

Data Validation & Coordination: Work with data stewards to validate and coordinate data activities for internal reports and field-based systems.

Innovation & Thought Leadership: Lead initiatives in data ingestion, processing, and cloud solutions; conduct research and collaborate with industry leaders to improve data processing efficiency and infrastructure reliability.

Business & Data Analysis Expertise: Apply pharmaceutical commercial operations and therapeutic-area knowledge to inform data strategy and utilization.

Qualifications / Requirements BA/BS in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

7+ years in data management, analytics, insights, or related commercial analytics in pharma or life sciences.

Experience in data sourcing and acquisition to support HCP and DTC marketing using multiple data sources (1st party platforms, social, third-party media, publishers, display, websites, paid search, and other digital channels).

Proven leadership in marketing/media data and customer engagement/content data analytics in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment.

Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance; proficiency in cloud technologies, data pipelines, and real-time analytics.

Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Proficiency with modern BI tools and Microsoft Office; demonstrated project management in cross-functional technology projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with cross-therapeutic-area focus; ability to simplify complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.

Customer focus with relationship-building, issue identification, resolution, and project management skills; diligent and results-driven; ability to apply policies and standards consistently.

Vendor management experience (outsourced program management) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750 USD. Subject to applicable plans, employees may participate in medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and other benefits. Details available via company benefits resources.
