The Programmatic Media Trader/Buyer is responsible for the planning, set-up, placement, and optimization for all media placed on our in-house programmatic platform for assigned clients.

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Partners with client, media, and client services teams to develop trading-specific strategies and in-depth product knowledge to achieve client goals and grow accounts.
  • Owns numerous accounts independently and recognizes opportunities to grow accounts; assists in identifying and prioritizing client needs.
  • Begins to develop areas of expertise in product offerings and acts as an internal resource for the media team.
  • Ensures campaign execution by managing budgets, creative messaging, and providing timely reporting while effectively communicating across teams and with clients.
  • Actively pursues opportunities to grow client business by providing new value through savings analyses, campaign planning, performance measurement, and marketing funnel approaches.
  • Seeks to provide additional value outside of the role through cultural contributions, collaboration with peers, and case study development.
  • Communicates complex concepts and ideas in a clear and concise manner, across audiences and varying levels of expertise.
  • Ensure that all campaigns are running as planned on budget, and with the proper creative message.
  • Manages digital billings including maintaining buys, invoices and billing transfer into Advantage.
  • Promptly communicates interdepartmentally.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reporting as needed by client.
  • Manage job allocation and time management within Workamajig.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience placing and managing a variety of media campaigns (display, social, video, audio, native, etc.).
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring the programmatic campaigns meet client goals.
  • Must have strong financial & analytical foundations and ability to interpret & present large amounts of data
  • Current experience with The Trade Desk is a big plus. Experience with Basis also a plus.
  • Strong ability to make actionable decisions based on data from web analytics platforms, & internal data tools
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Collaborative and team-minded
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts in a simple, straightforward manner
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred experience in Advantage
  • Proficiency with MacOS
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with public speaking & presentation
  • Positive outlook and team player mentality

Milestones & Performance Indicators

  • The Work: Ensures all campaigns are running as planned, on budget, and with the proper creative message.
  • Thought Leadership: Identify minimum of one trend within the industry to highlight in internal communications.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience building and running programmatic (especially Trade Desk) paid marketing campaigns

Working Conditions

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Typically working in a hybrid office scenario in Phoenix, AZ or Las Vegas, Nevada.

Travel requirements - In town travel necessary, occasional overnight travel needed.
