AACN is hiring a Advertising Strategist to join the Marketing Communications team within the Community Impact department. This role develops and executes advertising strategies across digital and traditional channels to increase engagement, strengthen brand presence, and deliver measurable business results. The position collaborates with MarComm, Creative Partners, and business units to extend reach, optimize ROI, and explore innovative platforms aligned with AACN’s mission and audience in healthcare, membership, and related areas.

Base pay range: $87,000/yr - $108,000/yr

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage integrated advertising strategies across digital (Google Ads, social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and traditional media to meet B2C and B2B objectives.
- Manage and optimize multi-platform advertising budgets; ensure alignment with organizational priorities and ROI goals.
- Collaborate with MarComm, Creative Partners, and business units to ensure cohesive, on-brand campaigns; align assets with brand guidelines and target audiences.
- Contribute to creative design, copywriting, and multimedia needs; perform some creative work to support campaign execution.
- Leverage market research and best practices to develop impactful assets; oversee internal placements and inventory on AACN-owned channels.
- Establish KPIs and benchmarks; monitor performance, conduct A/B and multivariate tests, and optimize keywords, placements, and audience segmentation.
- Build reporting frameworks linking advertising performance to outcomes such as lead generation, conversions, revenue, and member growth.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership; collaborate with Insights & Analytics and IT to improve attribution and cross-channel measurement.
- Act as a thought partner across internal teams; mentor colleagues on advertising best practices; manage relationships with external vendors and agencies.
- Stay current with industry trends, platform updates, and new ad formats; pilot and test new channels (e.g., CTV, programmatic video, podcasts, influencer partnerships) to expand reach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent experience; advanced digital marketing certifications are desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or related fields; proven track record of digital, social, and traditional advertising campaigns.
- Experience creating and executing marketing and advertising plans that drive organizational results; healthcare or nonprofit experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners; effective budget management and ROI optimization.
- Proficiency in Google Ads (search, display, Performance Max, video) and multiple social platforms; familiarity with SEO integration and analytics tools.
- Creative with ability to contribute to concepts, messaging, design, and art direction as needed; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience Summary
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing, communications, business, or related field) or equivalent experience; advanced digital marketing certifications desirable.
- 7+ years in marketing/advertising; experience in healthcare, membership associations, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
- Experience managing digital, social, and traditional campaigns and delivering measurable results.
Physical Requirements
- Remote work eligible; some travel may be required.
- Prolonged periods at a desk working on a computer; ability to operate standard office equipment.

Total Compensation
Pay: The target pay range for this role is $87,000 – $108,000. In addition, AACN offers a comprehensive benefits package (paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement savings with employer matching, and flexible work options).
