Overview
This is a virtual Advertising Account Executive role based with Comcast Advertising. The candidate must reside within the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland areas.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, service, and maintain a base of local clients and/or agencies who purchase advertising space or other media services to achieve established annual sales goals within the assigned sales team.
- Offer zone buying to enable small advertisers to reach customers in their retail trading areas.
- Work with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge for a medium-budget role.
- Analyze, develop and present market research and advertising proposals to support client activities and products.
- Assist in developing marketing activities to generate local ad sales revenue.
- Interact with internal departments to carry out client requirements such as scheduling advertising; monitor account activities and manage collections.
- Maintain up-to-date customer and prospect records and participate in the development of sales forecasts.
- Complete required documentation and reporting for contracts, advertising schedules, sales calls and expense reports.
- Seek new customers by prospecting following Company sales strategies and tactics.
- Analyze confidential information, prepare reports and general correspondence; exercise independent judgment in matters of significance.
- Demonstrate regular, consistent, and punctual attendance and be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
