Point O’Pines Camp is currently seeking a passionate and talented film student to join our media team as the Camp Video Director for the summer. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a love for film and a desire to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience. As the Camp Video Director, you will be responsible for capturing the full experience of camp—from everyday moments to signature events that campers look forward to year after year as well as managing and overseeing video staff.
Position Responsibilities:
- Capture daily camp activities, special events, and everything in between, documenting the fun, excitement, and growth of our campers.
- Be an integral part of the media team, working collaboratively to create content that reflects the camp’s values and spirit.
- Run media-related activities where campers can participate in producing, directing, and starring in their own short films.
- Curate video content throughout the summer to be used for promotional purposes such as social media posts, staff recruitment, and camper recruitment.
- Edit and produce videos, creating lasting memories and showcasing the camp’s vibrant culture.
- Lead and manage video production for key events, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality footage.
- Direct and coordinate video staff, assigning roles and responsibilities for filming different activities and events.
- Oversee the creation of a cohesive video strategy that aligns with the camp’s brand, including the selection of themes, tone, and visual style.
- Review and give feedback to video staff to ensure content meets the camp’s standards and is engaging for the intended audience.
- Collaborate with other camp departments to ensure the media team captures important moments that reflect the camp’s overall mission and vision.
- Ensure timely delivery of finished videos for various uses, including social media posts, promotional materials, and end-of-summer highlights.
