Point O’Pines Camp is currently seeking a passionate and talented photography student to join our media team as the Camp Photo Director for the summer. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a love for photography, prior professional experience, and a desire to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience. As the Camp Photo Director, you will be responsible for capturing the full experience of camp—from everyday moments to signature events that campers look forward to year after year as well as managing and overseeing photo staff.
Position Responsibilities:
- Capture daily camp activities, special events, and everything in between, documenting the fun, excitement, and growth of our campers.
- Curate photo content throughout the summer to be used for promotional purposes such as social media posts, staff recruitment, camper recruitment, and summer yearbook.
- Edit and upload photos into our system every night for our camp families to see throughout the summer
- Oversee a team of photographers, providing guidance, mentorship, and creative direction throughout the summer. Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to capture all aspects of camp life.
- Lead daily meetings with the photography team to discuss photo needs, review schedules, and plan for upcoming events. Foster an environment of collaboration, creativity, and positivity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for photography with significant experience in both shooting and editing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and inspire others.
- Expertise in maintaining a cohesive visual style across different types of photography.
- A deep understanding of composition, lighting, and photographic techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative and communicative spirit, with a strong ability to work with others to achieve common goals.
- A love for working with kids and an enthusiasm for the camp environment.
