The Entry Writer will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate and timely documentation for customs clearance and import/export processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations and customs regulations, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.


JOB DUTIES:

• Prepare and submit all necessary documents for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with all local and international regulations.

• Maintain and update accurate records of shipments, customs entries, and related paperwork.

• Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processing of goods.

• Review shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, etc.) to verify compliance with customs requirements.

• Communicate with clients and vendors to gather and verify required shipment details and documentation.

• Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to customs entries and logistics operations.

• Stay updated on customs laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure continued compliance.

• Assist in preparing reports on customs and shipping activities for internal and external stakeholders.

• Handle inbound and outbound shipments efficiently, ensuring accurate data entry into the system.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior experience in logistics, shipping, or customs-related role is REQUIRED.
  • Familiarity with logistics software and customs entry systems such as INTTRA, GT Nexus, etc., and Cargo Wise supply chain management platform is REQUIED.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping and customs regulations (import/export procedures).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
