Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager - Data Security Platform Washington, DC - Remote Virtru is a data protection provider. We equip customers to control their data through end-to-end encryption across platforms. We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market, sales enablement, and thought leadership for our zero-trust SaaS applications. This role reports to the SVP of Product Marketing and aims to drive sales growth, increase market awareness, foster adoption among developer communities, and equip sales channels with compelling materials. Compensation:
$180,000-220,000 / year Responsibilities
Market Insights: Create strategic insights into how we can impact potential customers; collaborate with Product Management and Sales to develop targets, personas, and buyer insights across enterprise and government sectors. Strategic Positioning: Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our data security solutions; tailor messaging for technical audiences including developers, security engineers, and architects. Commercial Readiness: Serve as a liaison between Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless product strategy execution; drive launch readiness and education resources for buyers, demand generation, and go-to-market resources. Technical Engagement: Drive adoption within technical communities; create technical content and resources for technical audiences. Content Creation: Design enablement initiatives for Sales and channel partners; develop training sessions, refine content and demos; create thought leadership on data-centric security and zero-trust solutions. Competitive Landscape: Monitor and report on competitive landscape, including SWOT, pricing analysis, and positioning of key competitors. Qualifications
Cybersecurity Product Marketing Experience:
8+ years in leadership of product marketing for enterprise security or data protection solutions; B2B/B2G experience. Technical-Business Translation:
Ability to bridge complex security concepts for diverse audiences (developers, engineers, CISOs, business stakeholders). Technical Security Knowledge:
Understanding of enterprise security architecture, data protection, zero-trust, and relevant regulatory frameworks (CMMC, GDPR, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ITAR). Developer Marketing Experience:
Marketing strategies/content for APIs and developer engagement. Strategic Go-to-Market Leadership:
Experience with large-scale software launches and commercialization strategies. Competitive Positioning:
Ability to create differentiated value propositions and messaging in competitive security markets. Sales Enablement Excellence:
Build sales tools such as white papers, battle cards, demos, and more. Content Creation & Storytelling:
Strong writing and presentation skills across formats (whitepapers, webinars, technical docs). Analytical Mindset:
Data-driven decision making with SaaS metrics and pricing insights. Competitive Intelligence:
Monitor market trends and conduct competitor analysis. Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, CS, or related field; or equivalent experience; relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing). Wellbeing, Diversity, and Benefits
