Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager - Data Security Platform Washington, DC - Remote Virtru is a leading data protection provider backed by top venture firms. We enable end-to-end encryption and data privacy across Google, Microsoft, and other data sharing platforms with the Trusted Data Format (TDF) standard. We seek a Senior Cybersecurity Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market, sales enablement, and thought leadership for our zero trust SaaS applications and Data Security Platform. You will craft positioning, external communications, competitive analysis, and drive brand awareness to grow our cybersecurity SaaS business. You will report to the SVP of Product Marketing and shape the go-to-market strategy for technology that protects sensitive data across Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. Responsibilities
Market Insights: Create strategic insights and collaborate with Product Management and Sales to develop targets, personas, and buyer insights for technical and business decision-makers across enterprise and government sectors. Strategic Positioning: Develop product positioning and messaging, tailor messaging for technical audiences (developers, security engineers, architects), and monitor pricing strategies. Commercial Readiness: Liaise between Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless strategy execution; lead launch readiness and develop buyer education resources and demand generation programs. Technical Engagement: Drive adoption within technical communities; create technical content and resources demonstrating value to technical audiences. Content Creation: Build enablement initiatives, trainings, demos, and readiness materials; develop thought leadership content establishing Virtru as an authority in data-centric security and zero-trust. Competitive Landscape: Monitor competitive landscape, including SWOT, positioning, and pricing analysis of key competitors. Sales Enablement: Create sales tools (white papers, battle cards, product demos, etc.) and develop training materials. Qualifications
8+ years of product marketing leadership in enterprise security or data protection solutions with success in B2B/B2G sectors. Ability to translate technical security concepts for diverse audiences (developers, engineers, CISOs, business stakeholders). Strong knowledge of enterprise security architectures, data protection models, zero trust, and regulatory frameworks (CMMC, GDPR, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ITAR). Experience with developer-focused marketing strategies and API/content programs. Successful execution of 8+ large-scale software product launches with comprehensive go-to-market plans. Proven ability to create differentiated value propositions and messaging in competitive security markets. Experience building technical sales tools (white papers, battle cards, demos) and strong communication skills across formats. Data-driven mindset with experience in pricing strategy and SaaS metrics; strong competitive intelligence skills. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; Pragmatic Marketing or security certifications. Benefits and Culture
