You will lead a team of engineers for the Prime Video (PV) Fire TV team, with full responsibility for the Vega OS experience. The team is responsible for the dedicated Prime Video app on Vega OS, as well as all PV experiences on the Vega Launcher. With the app launching in 2025, you will get to shape the future of this product as well as the culture of the team. You will lead a team of Software Engineers that will build a best-in-class Prime Video experience for millions of customers. Working with other engineering teams and your stakeholders, you will own the roadmap, vision and strategy to enable customers to have a responsive, delightful and intuitive experiences, whenever they interact with Prime Video. You will provide your organization with coaching in design, development, testing, and operations as you design, build and launch new features and experiences. In this role, you will routinely work with Product Managers, UX Designers, Technical Program Managers, Software Engineers and Software Managers from other teams. As a leader of the Vega application for Prime Video, you will also be responsible for building broader PV Fire TV strategy and roadmap. You are responsible for the engineering processes of the organization, and for ensuring that operational burdens don\'t get too onerous. Additionally, you will work to ensure that our customer facing feature set is delivered fast and at a high level of quality. As a leader, you are responsible for growing leaders internally, hiring the best people for your team, and provide support to your parent organization. The Prime Video Fire TV team owns a mature product that serves millions of customers, and for many is the primary way that they interact with Prime Video. The team is mostly based in Seattle, and comprises a mix of newer and more experienced members. You will also have fun as part of the PV Fire TV team, welcomed by regular team outings and activities like baseball games, laser tag, whirlyball and happy hours. Qualifications
3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers About the team

The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
