Job Title: Mechanical Designer - Sentinel Program
Job Description
The successful candidate will support the Sentinel program as a Mechanical Designer, utilizing Siemens NX and modeling software along with Teamcenter. This role requires everyday use of GD&T standards. The Sentinel program is paperless, and experience with PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) is valuable as it integrates all written assembly/work instructions, dimensions, and data sheets into the drawings.
Responsibilities
Develop layouts, prepare, and revise detail and assembly drawings of moderate complexity.
Design relatively simple mechanical and/or electromechanical components.
Gather missing information required to complete assignments.
Perform work in accordance with standard drafting practices.
Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing methods to ensure fit, form, and function.
Oversee and potentially supervise lower-level drafters.
Adhere to established policies and standards.
Use CAD and PLM software in accordance with drafting standards, with required knowledge of Teamcenter/NX.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter (8/10 proficiency level).
5-10 years of military, DOD, or aerospace mechanical design experience.
Daily use of GD&T in recent work experience.
1 year of PMI Product Manufacturing Information experience in NX.
5 years of PWA Printed Wire Assembly, Electronics packaging, or Avionics design/drafting experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Unigraphics NX 9.0.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
