Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Oculoplastics Surgeon to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. This is a full-time clinical position focusing on patient care, research, and education in Oculoplastics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Duties And Responsibilities

Full range of responsibilities in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. Provide clinical services in Oculoplastics, with or without the presence of a trainee. Support the academic mission of the department in consultation with the Department Chair. Pursue research, quality improvement initiatives, curriculum development, and education initiatives in alignment with the faculty assignment. Participate in teaching (clinical or didactic) with medical students, residents, fellows, undergraduate and graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows. Fulfill service commitments at OSU Wexner Medical Center facilities and other assigned sites. Participate in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions; engage with local, regional, or national professional organizations as appropriate. Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required for participation in this role due to contractual agreements with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment; eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. MD or DO degree; completed an approved residency in Ophthalmology; subspecialty training in an ASOPRS-approved fellowship or ASOPRS membership with additional relevant Oculoplastics training. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management of Oculoplastics. Evidence of scholarship through basic and/or clinical research and publications. Commitment to residents, fellows, and medical students. How To Apply
