We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Sports Announcer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sports and an ability to communicate effectively with audiences. This role involves providing live commentary, analysis, and insights during sporting events, as well as creating engaging content for various platforms. The Sports Announcer will work closely with production teams to ensure high-quality broadcasts and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the sports narratives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live commentary and analysis during sporting events, ensuring an engaging experience for viewers.
• Prepare scripts and notes prior to events, utilizing strong writing skills to convey information clearly.
• Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and other personnel to gather insights and enhance storytelling.
• Manage social media accounts to promote events, share highlights, and engage with fans effectively.
• Edit video segments using Adobe Premiere and other tools to create compelling post-event content.
• Collaborate with production teams in video production and post-production processes to ensure quality broadcasts.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for graphics and visual enhancements during live broadcasts.
• Provide bilingual commentary or translations when necessary to reach a broader audience.
• Stay updated on sports trends, statistics, and news to provide accurate information during broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly on-air and in writing.
• Proven experience in journalism or related fields, showcasing technical writing abilities.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop for graphic creation.
• Experience in social media management, demonstrating the ability to engage audiences online effectively.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for translation tasks.
• Knowledge of video production processes and post-production techniques is essential.
• A passion for sports combined with an understanding of various sports disciplines is highly desirable. Join us as we bring sports stories to life through captivating commentary and expert analysis!

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
