PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Do you want to help BBC Sport reach new audiences through compelling documentary and long read content? We are now seeking a Content Editor to join BBC Sport. You will have editorial oversight for content development and production for BBC Sport's evergreen storytelling across video, audio and written platforms, ensuring delivery is on time and to the highest possible quality.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
- Lead editorial vision and content development across Sport+ platforms
- Foster an inclusive team culture and support staff development
- Oversee planning, compliance, and delivery of Sport+ content
- Align content strategy with audience insights and platform goals
- Manage staffing, budgets, and production schedules
- Ensure copyright and contributor contracts meet BBC standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximise promotional opportunities
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Proven editorial leadership in multi-platform content production
- Strong understanding of audience trends and storytelling techniques and audience facing reviews
- Strong experience of managing teams, budgets, and complex schedules
- Knowledge of BBC compliance, copyright, and contract processes
- Strong leadership and a proven ability for editorial oversight in all aspects of content production and development
