Overview

20th Television is one of the industry's most prolific suppliers of primetime television programming and entertainment content. The studio’s content now reaches more than a billion people every day across the world: in as many as 180 countries, across six continents, in 30 different languages. We are searching for the next Sr. Executive Assistant to the President, 20th Television. This role requires a professional communication style, excellent attention to detail, top-notch organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority requests and deadlines. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as professional decorum to represent and interface with senior executives both inside and outside the Company, is essential.

The ideal candidate will enjoy handling administrative operations in a high-volume environment, be a self-starter, and have a strong ability to anticipate the President’s needs and respond with urgency to changing priorities. Creativity and technology skills are important to initiate enhancements and maximize work efficiency. The candidate should be flexible with work schedule and able to meet impromptu demands.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties at a high-volume desk including heavy calendar management, screening and routing phone calls, processing expense reports, and ensuring timely and effective communications.
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of events and frequent business travel, including trip logistics and itineraries; provide remote support of the Executive as needed while traveling.
  • Set up meetings, submit drive-on passes, and perform various other administrative tasks.
  • Manage office environment by organizing documents, maintaining supplies, and purchasing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sr. Manager, Office of the President to support the goals and needs of the President.
  • Interact with a wide variety of Disney and external contacts on behalf of the President, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Handle internal and external communications with a high degree of diplomacy.
  • Handle confidential and other sensitive information.
  • Handle gift purchases and delivery.
  • Pull and prepare reports and documents for the Executive; maintain databases.
  • Provide backup to other assistants and contribute to common administrative duties.
  • Support special projects, promotions, events, and/or programs, as needed.
  • Attend creative meetings to take notes and track action items, as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of administrative experience supporting a senior-level executive (agency, production company, studio, network or corporate environment preferred).
  • Passion for a career in TV development/programming.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Approachable style and ability to interface professionally with high-level executives, clients, employees, and business associates both internal and external.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with proven ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results with follow-through.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, business acumen, and a desire to understand the ‘big picture’.
  • Flexibility and professionalism in an environment with constant change.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision, exercise good judgment, anticipate issues, and proactively problem solve.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using PCs and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote and Outlook), as well as SAP. Ability to manage various reports and presentations for the department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of prior experience supporting senior-level executives in a corporate environment; entertainment experience strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $71,000 to $95,100 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
