Overview
Operations & Visual Manager at The Grove at Shrewsbury is a key member of the store leadership team. The role is responsible for bringing Alo’s operational and visual strategy to life in the store, with a focus on inventory management, labor planning and scheduling, and visual execution, to ensure the store is customer-ready at all times. Duties require movement on the sales floor and back of house; when not assisting guests, the role performs tasks to keep the store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes
- Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
- Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data
- Support sell-through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries
- Support a safe work environment and efficient operation
- Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with General Manager
- Review, monitor and partner with General Manager to manage the budget, reporting and other business data, including metrics (e.g., Expenses, Sell-Thru) and inform planning processes
- Future planning workflow business needs to protect optimal performance
- Ensure that the Operations and Visual team exudes Alo's mission and guiding principles to communicate to guests who we are, what we do and why we do what we do
- Lead a team through accountability, coaching, development of talent, and KPI-driven communication
- Establish internal and external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
- Write effective schedules that prioritize the best business strategy, in partnership with the General/Store Manager
- Oversee the execution of Flow experience deliverables while protecting operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the General/Store Manager to implement the vision and work cross-functionally with business partners to achieve inventory and sales floor KPIs
- Navigate the organization with a balance of business needs and brand culture
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
- Aligns with and embodies Alo’s Guiding Principles
- Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store
- Ability to lift, push, carry or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift
Schedule & Benefits
