The Pritzker Administration is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support public relations and external communications efforts for the Office of the Governor. The successful candidate will be an exceptional writer who brings creativity and attention to detail to the role and someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment. What You'll Do

Reports to the Deputy Communications Director. Works closely with the communications team to drive a message and highlight the goals and successes of the administration. Drafts press releases and other communications materials. Drafts statements, quotes, letters, and op-eds in the Governor’s voice. Manages remarks and release schedule. Administers press release distribution system for the Governor’s office and with agencies. Serves as communications representative on event planning calls – coordinating between Governor’s Office teams and external event planners. Oversees and manages video message requests and scripts. Support with digital content planning, creation, and execution. Support with other relevant tasks as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of communications and media relations experience preferred. Strong written skills, including drafting press releases, statements, and digital content. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative. Proven ability to work well within a team and elevate potential opportunities or challenges to leadership. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, work well under tight deadlines, and readily adapt to changing priorities. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Work Hours:
