Overview
Director, Marketing Analytics & Operations We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Director, Marketing Analytics & Operations to lead Ping Identity’s marketing analytics function. This role will transform raw data into actionable insights, drive marketing strategy, and optimize performance across the customer lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep experience in marketing operations, data analysis, and a track record of building and leading high-performing analytics teams. You will help define the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), establish advanced marketing metrics, and set targets aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities
Lead Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) Analysis: Drive ongoing ICP analysis using internal and external data to identify attributes, behaviors, and firmographics of valuable customers. Partner with Sales and Product to align and operationalize ICP insights. Develop Next-Level Marketing Metrics & Analytics: Design and maintain advanced metrics and reporting across the marketing journey, including predictive models, attribution, and CLTV analysis. Customer Lifecycle Performance Measurement: Establish analytics for the customer lifecycle, develop dashboards and reports showing engagement and value. Build Customer Marketing Metric Targets: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership to set data-driven targets for campaigns and initiatives. Annual Marketing Operating Plan & Target Setting: Lead development of the annual plan with targets for pipeline, acquisition, retention, and revenue contribution; provide strategic recommendations based on market trends. Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of marketing analysts, foster learning, data integrity, and analytical rigor; provide mentorship and development opportunities. Data Governance & Infrastructure: Partner with IT and Data Engineering to ensure data quality and robust marketing data infrastructure; promote data governance and privacy best practices. Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for marketing leadership and cross-functional teams; identify optimization opportunities. Technology & Tools: Evaluate and implement marketing analytics tools to enhance reporting and efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelorerspective in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field; Master’s preferred. 12+ years in marketing analytics/operations/BI with 3-5+ years in leadership. Proven track record in measuring and analyzing marketing performance across channels and lifecycle. Strong understanding of B2B marketing, sales funnels, and customer journey mapping. Advanced proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot), CRM (Salesforce), and data viz tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker). Expert-level SQL; Python or R a plus. Demonstrated ability to build and lead analytics teams, including hiring and coaching. Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills; able to influence at all levels.
