Long-term Care facility - Nursing Home Marketer / Hospital Liaison

The Marketer / Hospital Liaison is responsible for building census and strengthening the facility’s reputation through strategic marketing efforts and hospital-based outreach. This role serves as the primary point of contact between hospitals, case managers, physicians, and the nursing facility, ensuring smooth transitions of care and strong professional relationships that support census growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote facility services and increase census.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between hospitals and the facility, ensuring effective communication with case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and social workers.
  • Conduct daily or weekly hospital rounds to identify potential referrals and maintain visibility.
  • Present facility capabilities, specialized programs, and clinical services to hospital staff and other referral sources.
  • Facilitate timely and efficient admissions, coordinating with the admissions and clinical teams to streamline the process.
  • Track referrals, admissions, and conversion rates; prepare regular reports for leadership.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community organizations, physician practices, and other healthcare providers.
  • Represent the facility at health fairs, networking events, and professional association meetings.
  • Provide tours and information sessions to prospective residents and families.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and healthcare developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a hospital liaison, marketer, or admissions coordinator in long-term care, rehabilitation, or senior living strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital discharge processes, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance coverage for skilled nursing / rehab.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel between hospitals and the facility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tracking tools.

Schedule & Compensation
