Volunteer Graphic Artist
Position Summary
Ignite Arts & STEM is seeking passionate and creative individuals to join our growing
Volunteer Graphic Design Team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your design expertise for a impactful nonprofit, expand your professional network, and build a diverse portfolio with your contributions. This is a
fully virtual position
where you'll work independently with minimal supervision. While our headquarters are in Tarzana, CA, you
do not need to reside in the Los Angeles metro area
as all meetings are conducted virtually. However, you
must live in the United States to apply . This role is not suitable for individuals seeking to gain work experience to maintain other specific visa statuses.
H-4 Visa holders are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities As a key member of our graphic design team, you will: Design compelling booklets, signs, flyers, and banners
for community events. Create engaging informational presentations
for potential donors and grant holders. Develop eye-catching designs
for all of Ignite Arts & STEM's social media platforms. Produce high-quality images
for our marketing team's daily social media posts. Time Commitment We are looking for someone who can consistently provide at least
10 hours per week
of volunteer time (as needed) to support our efforts. Our Tech Stack Our team utilizes the following tools for collaboration and design: WhatsApp
for group communications Swit.io
for team communications and task management Canva
for graphic design Adobe Express
for graphic design Adobe Photoshop
(preferred, but not required) Adobe InDesign
(preferred, but not required) Adobe Illustrator
(preferred, but not required) Google Workspace
(especially Google Slides for presentations) Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) While not mandatory, candidates with the following are a plus: Enrollment or degree in a graphic design-related program.
