Overview

Under general supervision, operate the county-city owned bookmobile, driving to various service locations; perform circulation tasks and maintain bookmobile. Work varies requiring interpretative judgment within prescribed standards and procedures. Operate the county-city owned bookmobile driving to communities and schools according to schedules; utilize computer to check books in and out for customers; shelve books, read shelves and straighten books; assist in selection of bookmobile materials; stock and load materials onto bookmobile; utilize appropriate circulation sources; clean and perform preventive maintenance for the bookmobile including fuel vehicle and add oil as needed; complete log sheet and complete other reports as required; perform overtime as required and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma or GED and one year of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle. Must be personable and enjoy working with patrons of all ages. Must possess a valid CDL with Air Brakes Certification.
