Part-Time Grant Writer

to help secure funding opportunities that support our R&D initiatives, nonprofit programming, and innovation pipeline. Key Responsibilities

Research & Prospecting Identify federal, state, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities aligned with FAHALWAYS' mission and programs. Track deadlines and maintain a grants calendar. Grant Writing & Proposal Development Draft, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications. Tailor proposals to funder priorities while highlighting FAHALWAYS' unique innovations and impact. Collaborate with leadership to gather technical and programmatic content. Grant Management Assist in preparing budgets, workplans, and required supporting documentation. Monitor reporting requirements and draft progress reports for funded projects. Maintain organized grant files and documentation for compliance. Strategic Support Advise leadership on emerging funding trends and positioning. Work with both the

and

nonprofit

arms of FAHALWAYS, ensuring proposals align with funder guidelines. Contribute to long-term funding strategy, including diversification of revenue streams. Qualifications

Proven experience in grant writing, ideally with both federal and foundation funders. Strong track record of successful grant awards which are both small and large. This person will need to be searching for new grant opportunities, and refreshing existing grant requirements throughout the fiscal year. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics in clear, persuasive language. Knowledge of funding landscapes in healthcare, AI/technology, life sciences, or nonprofit innovation a plus. Detail-oriented with strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with executive leadership. Commitment & Compensation

Hours:

10–15 hours per week (flexible, depending on deadlines and opportunities). Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate or retainer, commensurate with experience.
