We conduct careful, extensive due diligence for every transaction and review board minutes, building information, and we contact management companies in search of possible assessments, potential litigation, noise, water, infestation, or other such issues. For new construction projects, we carefully review the offering plan materials and provide a detailed written summary memorandum. Real estate legal services include: Purchases and Sales of cooperatives (coops), condominiums (condos), townhouses, single-family homes, and multi-family dwellings.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Attorney with a strong background in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in handling real estate matters, with a deep understanding of land use, banking, sellers, townhomes, and purchasers. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

The Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for:

1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, financing documents, and title and survey review.
2. Advising clients on matters related to land use, zoning, and environmental compliance.
3. Representing clients in real estate disputes, including landlord-tenant disputes, boundary disputes, and title issues.
4. Providing legal advice to clients in relation to banking and finance matters related to real estate transactions.
5. Representing sellers and purchasers in residential and commercial real estate transactions, with a particular focus on townhomes.
6. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on potential legal risks and to develop strategies for managing those risks.
7. Collaborating with other professionals, such as real estate agents, bankers, and appraisers, to ensure smooth real estate transactions.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. A current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a real estate attorney.
4. Strong knowledge of real estate law, including land use, zoning, environmental compliance, and real estate transactions.
5. Experience in representing sellers and purchasers in residential and commercial real estate transactions, particularly with townhomes.
6. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
7. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to manage those risks.
