Description

Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Junior Creative Lead to own the end to end delivery of integrated marketing campaigns. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across cross functional teams, streamline workflows, and ensure launches that are on brand, on time, on spec, and measurable.
Responsibilities
- Design & Production | Creating compelling graphics for digital campaigns, including social media and web, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging
- Writing | Developing copy that accompanies digital content, including but not limited to monthly social media posts.
- Collaboration | Participation in brainstorming sessions with the Creative Director, Social Media Director, Strategists, and Project Managers to conceptualize and execute visually engaging designs that support client objectives
- Support | Assistance with various tasked assignments, including creating and updating presentations, typesetting, sourcing imagery, resizing graphics, and posting to social media platforms.
- Research & Trend Monitoring | Staying informed about design trends and competitor strategies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our content
Technical Skills
- Software Proficiency | Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator + understanding of Premiere Pro and XD and knowledge of WordPress
- Design Fundamentals | Understanding of design principles, layout, typography, hierarchy, and brand guidelines
- Digital & Print | Experience in both print and digital design
- Copywriting | Experience in writing social media copy
- Team Tools | Familiarity with project management, workflow, and social media tools
Soft Skills
- Communication | Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital for working with teams and presenting ideas
- Collaboration | Ability to work effectively as part of a team, take direction from the Creative and Social Media Director, as well as work independently
- Organization & Detail | Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail while managing multiple projects and maintaining high standards
- Problem-Solving | Creative mindset and problem-solving aptitude for developing innovative design solutions
- Adaptability | Flexibility to adapt to pivoting project demands and a fast-paced work environment
- Sentiment | Passion for the fusion of design and social issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of relevant design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design work, ideally related to public relations or advocacy

- Hybrid: four days/week in our Alexandria, VA area office; one day remote.
